I have a previous post for this, but I think it died off perhaps. I have a rather very expensive build I am putting together. Very expensive for me atleast. So far the dollar is up to over $5000, and i'm still not done yet.
I have to pick out a good bottom metal here soon. But what might help determine which BM to go with, I will list a little of what I have that might help that determination:
*MCS - T4 set for Rock Creek M24/M40 barrel contour
*Stillers TAC-30 action
A gentlemen at Stiller's highly recommended a Jewel trigger for this setup. I don't know much about the Jewel or what BM I should go with if I am going to use a Jewel.
Here is a list of the action's/trigger's I was considering using for this build:
Bottom metal - Surgeon, D.D Ross, Badger Ordnance.
Trigger's - Timney, Jewel, "other"
I take it the actual military M24/M40 is using a standard R700 action?
I like the hole service rifle concept on durability and that is my goal here. With that said; I know how popular Jewel's are in the BR world and I know they work well in hot and cold condition's; but how solid are they?
Still needing some feedback for these last steps so I can start running with it.
Thanks for the time!
Cheers,
RiP
