115's in 257 Weatherby

Any info on starting loads/powders/primers and tricks for the 257Weatherby would be great. Looking to shoot 115 Bergers.

Good luck. I could not get them to shoot for nothing. Too much freebore and they did not take the "jump" well. I tried RL22 IMR7828 and H4831. Check this site out it might help. Hope it works better for you than it did for me.

Well thay may be hard to get to shoot but thay are the best .25cal bullet as far as drop and drift.Unless you go wildcat.

My load is.
H1000-73.0gr this is over book max for 115gr bullets and way over bergers max.

I full lenght resize just enugh to bump the sholder about .002-.003.

geting 3360fps on my prochrono.

This is out of a limited run Remington sps in .257 Wetherby with a 26in bbl.

Could only get maybe 1 moa..with mine..and not consistent..if your getting it chambered that maybe another story..

The one I had build didn't have the Wby freebore I planned on shooting 115gr TSX and 66gr/IMR-7828 @ 3480fps gave me groups under 1/2".

I run 74gr H1000 w/ 115vld's in Weatherby Accumark. As long as the mag will allow. 1 ragged hole @ 100 yards! Factory Wby brass w/ federal match mag primers. 3450 fps

I got more consistent ES and SD with a starting load of 69gr of R-25 and 1/2"-3/4" groups at the 3.27"OAL, but was looking for faster speeds. Below is the results of more powder....
