Copper Bullets

This is what he asked for. Not just a list.

"What are some lead-free bullets that you've used with great success?"

Crawl out of your lab and get to shooting things. We are waiting for your reports from the field.
This is what he said:

California requires hunting bullets to be lead-free. Is there a cheat sheet of manufacturers that make lead-free bullets? What are some lead-free bullets that you've used with great success?

I presented a "cheat sheet" with that link of manufacturers. Can we move on now?

XSN10s has absolutely no genuine regard to your success with copper bullets. If you knew him like we knew him, you would know his presence in this "copper bullet" thread is insidious and disingenuous. He only hopes to ruin the thread, get it locked, and hand wring that it's the evil Hammer bullet guys! It's been played over so many times it's comical at this point.

As bad as it saddens me I will have to agree

The op already stated he looked for a bullet that serves his needs out to a possible 700-800 yards. It's simple ballistics to figure out he'll need higher bc's to get there. Looks like Hornady's CX 130 gr will do it at 3300 fps. 3500 ft elevation and around 45 degrees temp. Colder then 800 yards gets harder to do according to jbm's ballistics app.

Bud, all of the bullets mentioned in this thread will serve you well, I have had great success with Barnes Bullets for many years and have no complaints other than the copper fouling, pick what appeals to you and give it a go, as said before anyone the 120-140g range will suffice what what you are wanting to do, if you need anything just holler 812-264-6183

I have loaded, hunted, and killed deer with the Hammer Hunters, Hornady GMX, and Nosler E Tips. Have played around with factory loaded Barnes, but wasn't a fan. Hammer Hunters are by far my favorite. Easy to load, consistently small groups, and like to be pushed fast. The Hornady GMX was good hunting accuracy, but left some to be desired. Most of my guns do not like the etip, but it did shoot well out of one gun. I'm in the process of converting everything to Hammer Hunters. The calibers I load for are 270wsm, 270wby, 7 rem mag, and 30-06.

I will add this to my list. Thanks for sharing.

Here are a couple of .338 234gr Outer Edge BBT's recovered, bulged against the hide of big bull camels 🐪 weighing in the vicinity of 1200-1400lbs. Both were shoulder shots.
