Which .25?

ID think you are pretty well .25 enriched😎 I was going to mentioned the .257 Roberts but thought maybe it was too.... out of vogue. Still a fine old round and has the reputation of a great deer cartridge. I think now and again about building one.
I love my Roberts in a Rem 760‼️ The Bob is just a Grand Balanced ol' Cartridge! It should be more popular! Its perfect for gals & youth!

If you were building a new rifle in 25 caliber for hunting and occasional target shooting, which one would it be and why? I'm in western NC so extreme ranges aren't likely but I would like to have the option to shoot the longer heavier bullets but probably would not purpose build it for one particular bullet. I like speed so I am thinking 100-115 grain bullets for the most part but I am open to any and all suggestions. Thanks!
25-06 AI is a great choice!

Lol. I didn't build a 6 Creed just because and I will likely not build a 25 Creed for the same reason. I can't say never though. If someone can tell me why it's the best choice for a build I would consider it. I get the components argument and all. 25/06 brass has seemed to be non-existent for a while now
Yep, I would go 25creed also.

The 25 cal cartridges are fun and usually easy to shoot good, at least mine are. I've shot most all of the factory and a couple improved variations. The responses of favorites are usually decided by mostly personal preference," low recoil, muzzle blast, really fast velocity, reloading supplies, etc. So many opinions start their pick with " I want the fastest, cause thats the bestest"! My criteria starts with accuracy and then the other traits line up with the cartridge variables!
Good Luck with your choice. I choose the 257 Roberts!

I like the 25.06 and 257 Weatherby. .270 Like Performance with milder recoil. They are dynamite on Whitetails all the way out to 500-600 yards. And you're more likely to find ammo on the shelves at local stores.

Big 25-06 fan. First deer rifle I ever owned, had the same one for the past 20 years, got several hogs/deer last year with it, never had an issue.

I run the
25 creed
25-06 rem
25-06 AI
I believe they all have strong points the creed for light recoil the standard 25-06 for finding ammo on the shelf and the 25-06AI for a touch more speed and almost no case stretching I have shot whitetail mule deer elk bighorn sheep and coyotes all with the 25 caliber bullets and haven't had any issues I think they are all great rounds especially with heavy bullets and fast twist barrels I believe you can't go wrong with any of them just choose the one that fits your needs and build it then build the next one and the next one and the next one😁
