I have been trying to find more info on various powders and their stability in different temps. I cannot really find much except for chats about powders like RL do fluctuate more then others. I cannot seem to find a lot of info on different brands of powder. Anyone help me find info or charts I would appreciate it.

I did see once a chart online that showed relative differences in burn rate in different powders due to temperature. It may take some searching!
As a rule ball powders are usually more temp sensitive than extruded but again there are always outliers.
Varget and all extreme powders have a rep for being temp.insensitive.

This was on LRH a while back.

Ive used both IMR 4451 and 4166 with great results. Very good comparable accuracy to my other loads without the temp issues in the summer. My shooting temps range from 0-upper 90's in the summer. IMR Enduron powders were designed for this and seem to be easier to find right now as well.

What are you reloading for. 6.5 creed I love Stable 6.5 Winchester

I'm loading for 308. New to the loading game. I live in CA but travel out of state to hunt. When I'm target shooting in CA summers can be in the 90's-100 degree and fall in the 80's but in January when I'm hunting in Utah it was 8-22 degrees.

I'm just trying to figure out the "best" powders to use. Eventually I will be loading 300wm and 270 when components become more available. I hope they do anyways

The Hodgdon "Superformance" powders are all designed to be pretty temp stable. Varget, H4831, H4350, H1000, etc. You can't go wrong with those for temp stability. The chart that Pdyson posted illustrates that.

I've had fairly decent luck with Alliant Reloader 23. Vihtavuori N570 is mostly good but in my experience starts to get a little funny when you get close to, or beyond 80 degrees.

At 90-100 degrees, I really don't know. I generally don't shoot when it's that hot. Barrels get hot quick and take longer to cool down.

I have never done any testing but I rely on Hodgdon Extreme line, mostly Varget and H4350. I live in Florida but hunt in upstate NY and Colorado. I always shoot when I get up there and outside of very small POI adjustments I've never had any issues. Going from 24 feet above sea level, 90+ degrees to cold temps and elevation over 8000 feet with no issues with these powders. Next time I go out there I'll bring my Labradar and check the speed compared to sea level

Have anyone noticed any changes in 6.5 Staball after your loads set for 1/2 year. Like 100fps. Not 100% sure completely about this but it was the same recipe on a 7mm-08 load from last year. Only question I can come up with or thought is my charge master was out of cal for all 20 loads. From my shooting data I was 6 inches higher than what I had proffed out on my shooter app. This figured out to 2785 instead of 2685. It was a lower in load on the staball for a 168ABLR. I could have went up to this velocity but cases would of been toasted by 4 firings. I didn't see really any pressure signs except for 2 of them had ejector swipes. So it makes me think the charge master cal was off. Just don't have anymore 168's.

I haven't had any rounds sit around that long between loading and shooting but haven't ever thought to check anything if I did. I have read on here before where someone commented that they had to pull some bullets out of some round after they had sat for 6 months and said the powder didn't pour out like it should have and they had to tap the shell to it to come out. .I could see where that could effect one FPS by 10. It was stable 6.5.
