Its funny you guys in the US are complaining about paying normal Canadian peices, There is one thing causing all of this Covid 19. It has done a great job of raising the prices on every thing we buy.

Not to be rude to you but we'd rather not pay Candian prices or suffer under Canadian gun laws. But you all have awesome fishing and hunting up there in the North. I wouldn't mind seeing the Northern lights again either.

Doesn't everyone know that if nobody bought anything for the next 6 months prices and supplies would go back to normal. The biggest issue currently is hoarders, and scalpers. Both of which should be tar and feathered.
That means I couldn't shoot or load.
I may be one of those guys. I used to split everything with my brother and we would load at his house. He recently moved to Texas and I built a new house with a reloading station. Hence now I look like a scalper when I go in. But I'm buying all the same stuff we had before but Texas is a long way. I sure picked the wrong time to start my setup. Oh well I use every powder I buy and it's a hobby I enjoy.

Northern lights are easy upper peninsula and f Michigan and you don't have to deal with the flapping heads and Beady eyes of the Canadians.

I know Win 296 / H110 is made in St. Marks. I can not remember any others at the time. It is owned by General Dynamics. There are other civilian powders manufactured there also. Alliant "Sport Pistol" powder is manufactured at the Radford Arsenal facility in Virginia. There are some powders manufactured in U.S. yet, but I agree there could be a lot more if not for government regulation.
That and the rising costs in liability insurance have driven a lot of our manufacturing overseas.

While it's not politically correct to mention these days we're putting our nation at grave risk with so much of our critical manufacturing now being outsourced to foreign countries, particularly those that are outwardly aggressive towards us like China.

This is not only going to continue affecting our shooting and hunting sports in negative ways but one day could have a very serious negative impact on the US overall. The PPE Shortages we saw at the beginning of the pandemic were just a hint as to what we could be seeing coming in the future if we don't mend our ways.

We don't hardly make anything over here anymore. Most everything is imported. We import containers of goods at work. Two years ago you could get a 40' container shipped from Asia for about $4500. The ones we are receiving now are $22,000 along with shipping times that have doubled, or in some cases tripled. So, the shipping companies are charging 5X as much for a degraded service. You can blame whoever you want, but this will be added into everything you buy at the wholesale level, and will be at least doubled again by the time it reaches retail. On top of that, you still have to get it from the port to the retail location, changing hands at least a couple of times along the way with additional freight and markup.
Imagine what it's costing those shipping companies to keep their ships circling for days, weeks, or months off of the ports waiting to be unloaded.

The root causes of this problem need to be identified and corrected ASAP before it puts the whole country into a very serious position.

I was able to just stroll in today to a local place and pick up another lbs of rl26 at a reasonable price today along with primers.
They had 3 more pounds on the shelve but limited to one. Things may be getting better.

Just left a LGS. This makes me think it may get a little better soon.

Great news. I'd be making 3 more trips as quickly as they'd let me. That a really great powder or has been for me in 308-300wm size cases.

It's been fantastic for the .260Rem.

Pretty sure the "Cause" is orchestrated, if not down right ordered by some really bad folks residing inside the Beltway in DC. There are some very rich folks in many countries pulling their strings, but those who think they are untouchable and totally unaccountable are responsible for the whole mess old friend. They may never be held accountable in our, or even their lifetimes, but that day will come, and it won't end well for them.

I was able to get 4 pounds earlier this fall then a few weeks ago a 8lbs jug.
I'm using it in my .30 Sherman and it seems to do well.

😂Hey, if she can do for the supply chain snarl what she's done for the Southern Border Camela will have us neck deep in products we don't need or want in 2 weeks with all time highs in imports.
