New "to me" made in Montana monolithic bullets ...

I seen long range guy Eric Corrina make a cavity in base of bullet with his lathe on YouTube and shoot a 5/8 group with them at 1000yds, guess they are starting to be more mainstream, I would definitely like to try them. I got a Ruger LC9 that made crappy groups with everything thing I tried, found some Ranier bullets with a concave base I had and they shoot great, just seems to make sense that there's more surface area to push bullet and pushing mostly center of back of bullet.
It was 1.03" 5 shot group at 1000. That was real. The video of cutting out the base was an April Fools joke. He even admitted on the video. How did you miss that? lol

I just like to see options on the market. I understand the reasoning of the cavity. There might be something else as well. Anybody ever hard of the first cavity bullet? Let me remind you. it was called the "Minié ball"
I expect people here will try them and report back.
Again, great to have options, thanks for putting this out here @FEENIX

Hope I didn't come across as negative , was more or less poking fun is all , I have an extremely healthy sense of humor, emhasis on "extreme" lmao !

But... those who know me well, know that I'm always testing bullets they'd never heard of and often times I will shove a couple into some poor critter that stood still too long in my line of sight .

I did order a box of the 168 gr 30 cal bullets for my personal testing and did get a buddy to check them out, got him into using Badlands, TLR and now Hammer bullets with great results so he's willing to try the Cavity Back bullets as well

I'll most likely run them around 3100-3150 fps in a Tikka T3 in 300 WSM, maybe a few in the 300 Rum at 3400-3450 fps for gits & shiggles but the 300 WSM is my "intended target"

Maybe these guys are on to something and I'm willing to give them a shot

...
Nope, I know you always put things to the test, and I commend you for your openness in giving them a shot.

I am not sure when I get around it, but I ordered the 168g too to try on my .30 Gibbs.

It's not negativity. It's the uncanny ability I have to see the truth in matters. Probably because I spent many years in the fact finding, investigate, and business intelligence industry. Could also blame it on my critical thinking abilities and experience in marketing and propaganda. I'm not gonna be fed a spoonful of crap and smile with crap in my teeth.
I have been researching in various fields (from the electro-magnetic industry, electroplating, to management engineering, etc.) since 1980, but I humbly remain a student of continuous learning. You might have the uncanny ability to see the truth, but that is where your failure lies as a claimed researcher, your bias, esp. when you do not acknowledge it and before conducting any hands-on research, empirical or not - that to me is BS. Continuous process improvement is one of my core competencies in my current job in the last 26 years, and it amazes me what we found on such claims. However, this is NOT what this thread is about - not your uncanny ability or my experience.

"IF" you want to address your concern about your BS claim, you can address it directly to Robert (his contact information is on the link I provided) because none of us has the correct answer, just WAGs, speculations, and biases.

In the early years of LRH I sometimes refered to this as being Len's Living Room and you all are invited to my home to chat in the presence of me and my wife.

Please behave accordingly if you would like to remain on the invitation list.

Thank you all for coming. Hope to see you again real soon.
