I've had the best luck with H4831sc and slower powders with 140g and heavier in 6.5/06. If all you have is H1000, it will suffice. H4350, though an excellent 6.5 Creedmoor powder is just a bit too fast, IMO, for 6.5/06. The case fill ratio is just not high enough to yield suitable SD. You will find best case fill and performance, with 140g and heavier bullets, with powders such as retumbo, Norma 217, IMR 8311, and R-26. I have not personally tested R-26 yet as it has been difficult to secure for a bit now. I have seen reports here and other places of folks using even slower powders with very good results. With those powders you will want to have a plenty long barrel to take advantage of those kingsford range burn rates.
