Sherman Wildcat Reloading Data is Here!!!

Any plans on 270 brass? I just posted a thread a few minutes ago asking if anyone had tinkered with lighter bullets in the 270 Sherman. Rich do you have a velocity estimate for the 130 grainers in your 270 Sherman? You think 3500 range in a 26" barrel or is that way off base. It would be a fun point and shoot load to about 400 yards or so! 3700ish in the 110 monos?? What do you think
I have messed with the light bullets, pretty sure I'm the only one ha ha....Got some 117 hammers to try, haven't shot them yet, and have shot 128 Badland bulldozers a good bit, but the 128's reached pressure WAY early compared to all predictions, around 3200-3250 with Reloder 26, 63 grains was 3146 fps, 64 grains was 3202 fps, and 65 grains had stiff bolt lift and 3279 fps, 66 grains had heavy bolt lift, heavy extractor mark, and killed the primer pocket in norma brass, going 3330 fps. Reloder 16 ended up similar max velocity, possibly slightly higher, with max being 59-60 grains going 3222 and 3277 respectively. I really think this is bullet related, I have heard some of the badlands bullets suffer from low velocity with pressure. When I get a chance to try the 117 Hammers I'll report their performance as well. I also plan on trying some lead core 130's as well.

So in the 6.5 sherman what kinda brass prep to form?
pretty simple. I just neck 270 or 280 brass up to 30 cal and then run it through the Sherman die part way down the neck to form the false shoulder. Then you just load and shoot with a moderate load. I like to jam the bullet to keep everything centered and immobile.

chiming in on here. Here is my 6.5SST. Anyone have any new load data? Currently shooting Berger 140gr elite hunters with 56.5 and 57.5 grains of RL26 at 2.81 COAL. 56.5gr had me around 2900fps. Loaded 50 rounds with 57.5grs I'm going to shoot tomorrow and finish barrel break in before I do some real load development. Will be switching to hybrid targets or ELDM but staying 140gr. my barrel is also chambered with the 6.5 SST II Reamer

6.5 SST II Reamer w/140gr hybrid on a new barrel 24" @ 3000fps and new brass. No pressure with this load but start a little lower and work up if you are using virgin brass. Side note: I can't believe they locked your thread on the 6.5SAUM Facebook page because you posted a 6.5SST rifle.

I like the info guys but PLEASE PM me the loads so I can add to the pdf.

Just imagine trying to wade through this thread to find a load for every Sherman cartridge with each bullet and a different powder... the point of this was to have one place and a pdf to use.
Thanks
