Some hammer damage

I do have to say that the only reason I took this picture is because it's the first time I've got that. Most are perfect 1.5" style exit hole. This was shocking but over all monos so far less damage to the animals than lead.

this is my experience as well- I've never had an exit like that. I run the 124 hammers in 3 creeds (48.0 R26 works perfect in Hornady brass) and also in my 6.5 Lapua. I've shot the smallest groups of my life with them - .002 in one of the creeds (3 shots were .266 edge to edge) and .094 in the 6.5 Lapua. I've killed a few dozen hogs with them out to 485 yards. All one shot DRT's. My wife used my creed last week and dumped a really nice cow elk at 285 and it was dead before it hit the ground. I run the 124 in everything 6.5 now. Best hunting bullet I've ever used. I still run Bergers in .284 and .308 cal guns.

I'm getting .3-.4" consistently with 124s at .030" off lands at 2950fps......got .5-.6" at .020" off. Extremely easy to develop a load. Same with many other cartridges I'm loading for(257 Roberts, 25-06, 264 WM, 280 Rem, 280 Ackley, 300 Wby and soon 220 Swift).
