We did not violate their user agreement. We did not sell firearms or ammunition using PayPal. They acknowledged that to us, then told us they were going to freeze our account anyway, because they don't like the business that we are in.

If you have this in writing or recorded you have a legitimate claim to your resources. No high rise full of lawyers could fight your rights. That is discrimination pure and simple.

It will cost more than what they have taken. They know this.

Have you contacted any groups that back our trade or hobby? The Second Amendment groups or even the NRA have just as many lawyers and probably smarter in these situations for fighting for rights. What Paypal is doing to you is pure theft. Especially if they admit you have not violated their agreement with you. I agree as what someone else said. If you can get this in the public view, papers, tv, news, that gets to them where it hurts.

Call Lars Larsen. Seriously. He'll get your story out there happily.

On the other side..How many retailers won't take my personal check?
And if I pen my name to it..It's good! But it's not good enough for them?
I just use PP and lie! @$%#^-Em
I shipped a pistol today with UPS they think it's "machined parts" and it is really?

Not defending paypal in the slightest...I can't stand them and have been screwed by them in the past as well. However, it is extremely hard to believe they flat out told you that you did nothing wrong and they decided to hold your money just because they don't like the business. If that were true, they hung themselves. Seems there is more to the story here as to why they have held your funds for so long...

I don't use paypal simply because I disagree with them on firearms. I just bought some items from some Facebook group members & paid to mail them the money rather than give money to paypal. It cost me more than the paypal fees but that is not an issue. Many of us have convictions about what is right and what is wrong. The key is whether you have the courage to live up to your convictions! There are several businesses that I don't like, such as Walmart. I will not go to Walmart if there is an alternative, especially a locally owned alternative. Again, it may cost me a bit more but that is of no consequence.

I promise you there is not. When this 1st happened I had another guy contact me. He told me that when the 180 days came they would find an excuse to hold another 180 days. Said it would continue to go on and that they have no intention of releasing the funds. So far he was right.

When they 1st froze our account they though bullets were ammo. Once we explained that bullets are not ammo, they agreed that it was not ammo and said that they would review the account again. They then got back to us and said that they determined that they were going to freeze the account and gave the reason that they don't like the business that we are in.

There is no rest of the story. The parent name of our company is H D Custom Rifles and Ammunition LLC. We dba as Hammer Bullets. We do business with firearms and ammunition, but never with PP. This is the only thing that they could say is they don't like the business that we are in.

Please understand that packages are scanned. Beware.

Would you mind posting any correspondence you have from them? They can't simply hold your funds indefinite without cause. That's theft. I'm guessing they have some grey area - legal leg to stand on and I'm curious as to what that may be since it seems they aren't hung up on you being a firearms or ammo dealer.

You are wrong. We did not violate their user agreement. We did not sell firearms or ammunition using PayPal. They acknowledged that to us, then told us they were going to freeze our account anyway, because they don't like the business that we are in.

We created an account with PayPal when we had customers asking for it. We did not know that they could take our money because they don't like the business that we are in, even though we did not violate their user agreement.

The point of my post is not a pity party for me, but to inform folks of the situation and hopefully this will result in people stopping their use of PayPal.

The point of your post was not to educate, but to bash on paypal...which I am pretty sure is a violation of the rules on this site isn't it?

I understand you are frustrated man - I would be too, but most people understand what their stance is on guns and ammo.
