270-300 Win Mag now feasible

The brown truck showed up with a new RCBS 300WM full length bushing die and a .303" bushing. With that bushing and a Redding +.004" shellholder I am getting .002" shoulder setback and about .0015" neck tension with my W-W brass. I also picked up a .307" bushing for the Federal brass- it may also work for the Remington brass.

Sometime soon I will get to go try them out.

Today i shot the ladder of seating depths and the winer was 3.61. My lands are 3.65.

I had two one hole groups and pulls the third before i finished with the 1/2".

So my personal load development is done.

June 2nd ill try the 270-300 Win Mag on wild boar.

Nice job BJD! I made it to the range yesterday and shot the Barnes 130 TTSX with VV N570. Max load velocity was up in the mid 3,500s. I have it written down and will post exact data later.

I am also done with load development. Let us know how it performs in the field!

WI HAD A TERRIBLE DAY AT THE RANGE saturday. The wind was blowing, but i couldnt keep the Berger 170s under an inch and a half. Same load, same can of powder, same seating depth. Unreliable results.

I brought the Cutting edge to the range today and i will hunt with this bullet. It is more consistant for me.

These were the Cutting Edge loads with 4350, and the wind was still blowing today.

3425 fps. 140gr.
