Berger to introduce 7mm 195 gr EOL Hybrid Hunting Bullet

Gentlemen,

I know everyone has been waiting patiently for the news and some of you guys are messaging and calling for info...

YES!!! THE BULLETS WILL BE OUT LATE SUMMER...

Thanks Guys!

Bob,

Do the original Ballistic Coefficient & SD numbers n such still co-incide with what these bullets were expected/intended to finalize at? At this point, seeing production availability is announced, I'd assume some degree of testing has been done. Curious how that has gone and where the numbers have settled at (?)

On a sidenote, I do hope you guys remember us north of the border when shipping starts! Fill a crate full and point it toward Gunn ; ) ...I'll pick mine up there! ha

Good to hear that-bullet is finally coming to fruition*

Bob,
Will it be possible to pre-order these bullets?

Lots of people are going to be reeeeal happy about when these bullets start finding dealers!

Yep, and lots of .30 and .338 shooters are NOT gonna be happy about them in comps...Because the 7mm bar was just raised to above (.30) and about even with (.338) their levels, as far as BC goes. :D:D:D

This is the bullet that might just make the STW and the Ultra mag so much better than the 7 REM. A 28 to 30 inch barrel in a 8 to 8.4 twist pushing this bullet to its limits would be something for everything animal to fear!:D

No joke! There's another thread talking about wildcats based off of a 375 Ruger - one of them a 7mm-375 Ruger. A 195gr @ 3100fps!?! I think I'm in love.

I have a Lazz Firebird personally, took the 190 Matrix over 3100 through it, 180 Bergers also... fast-twist 1:8 started tearing jackets pokin' much over 3100 though (with both those bullets) ...even with Berger's target-hybrids. Pressure's hadn't caused me problems to that point though, if jackets would have held-up I'm certain I could have got 3150-3200 out of them.

It's almost a crime John's Firebird hasn't built the following RUM's and STW's have.. nevermind the craze toward the LRM and now 28 Nosler variants. This 195 bullet is going-to-be a smoker out of a firebird**

Hopefully it's (assumed) longer bearing surface and "need" for the faster 8-twists will negate the effects of over-spinning and dusting the (present) high-BC 7mm heavies through a faster than recommended twist. I would **** near guarantee (a firebird) can push the 195 someplace near the 3100 mark. I intend to do just-that and will post it once I have something to show... can hardly wait to get my paws on a couple hundred to test

Be real interesting to see which caliber truly will match some of these proposed and expected velocities! I'm anxious to personally see how it pans out between them all.

I had the same problem with the 180 hunting VLDs. Switched to the 180 hybrids with no problem at 3300 fps.

The Lazzeronis were to limited with brass supply and way to pricey. Reamers. Reloading dies and preferences kept me from his cartridges.

The caliber is 7mm. The cartridge will be somewhat of a popularity contest of sorts. With this bullet horsepower will be king!
