Berger to introduce 7mm 195 gr EOL Hybrid Hunting Bullet

So, you're mad that their estimated time got lapsed, then unforseen circumstances caused this to get pushed to the side, and now that it's finally getting back to normal with finding supplies, you're still ****ed, and taking it out on random people that had absolutely nothing to do with it, because they happened to mention something that was also mentioned in a post from almost 3 years ago...

Wonder what chambering it would take to drive those around 3100.
IMO
7mm RUM and a 28" or longer barrel, probably could make it with a 26"
28-Nosler and a 28" or longer barrel, might make it with a 26"
The 7mm STW might make it or might break it.

Of course there are others even a 7mm PRO might reach the 3400fps someone mentions.

I think the stw could net 2850-2900 fps with the 195....
The 7rum would net close to 3000 fps with 50 cal powders and 26" or more bbl...
Any more speed needed and you'll be looking at something like the 7mm Laz. Firebird (fast twist bbl.) or one of Kirby's toys.

What's the 7mm Pro case based off of??

Thanks. Seems like I shoot too much to enjoy them at speeds above 3000. Too many barrels. No free lunch in this game. That 7 mm pro sounds awesome, but who knows if these 195s will even take that kind of speed without losing them. Hopefully we will find out when these finally get released. I'm starting to think there is some problem with them. Hopefully the bearing surface will be short like the 180 hyb.

Not to hijack a mostly dead thread but what's this about supplies returning to normal? I built a fast twist 7wsm about a year and a half ago. The 180 hybrids have been like finding unicorn tears here in Canada and 7wsm brass hasn't been seen in two years. Please tell me you guys south are seeing some stuff!

HERE IT IS AGAIN!! The 7mm Berger bullet is not being produced.... It is not going to be produced..Everyone states it is due to they are to busy or Blah-Blah-Blah reason..Email them, The real answer is they do not value the 7mm caliber enough to buy or repair their equipment. The equipment and tools are dysfunctional and the 7mm that were in production is no longer. Let alone this 195 probably will never be. If your waiting for the 180 gr hunting bullet then I suggest to get over it and go to the Nosler 175ABLR or the 180gr Lapua. It pains me to say this but false hope is recognizable and can be perceived as stupid. I liked the 180 gr hunter and the Dinosaurs.

If you disagree, do not call them email them. Some will state they call and are given other reasons, I emailed no less than 8 times and the same reason every time:rolleyes:.

I emailed them in September 2014. I was told they had began the process of making the dies and tooling to produce the 195 gr bullet and that it would take a few months to complete it.

I hope at Shot Show they have good news regarding the 195 grain .284!

I do not know this for a fact, so call me cocky. The 195 will not be at the shot show. I hope I am wrong.
I did however score today! I had to travel out of town and stopped by a small mom and pop sporting good store in the middle of nowhere Oregon. I went in and they had some Berger bullets. I naturally went over to see what they had. They were a few 7mm 168 and some 140 on the shelf. Something caught my eye and stuck behind the 168 were 5 boxes of 180 hunting VLDs. Well lets say the store is now sold out of 180 gr hunting 7mm Bergers!:):):):):):)

Well I gave up on the 195's a few years ago but if you are interested in some 180 hunting vlds I have about 250 I don't want anymore. Pm me if you are interested.
