Anyone else here planning to purchase a Zero Tech 3-18 with THLR reticle? I put my name in line for one yesterday.
Have wanted to try a THLR reticle for some time, but held off because I didn't really have a use for the large Minox it came in, which had been the only option. Likewise with the large Gunwerks/Revic that offers a similar looking reticle.
Don't know much about the ZT line up. With just a cursory glace at their offerings, they seem a bit like an Ausy version of Vortex. Seems a lot of their models are Chicom like a lot of companies these days. However, the model in reference says Japan built. Didn't do a lot of digging, but figured LOW or Kenko - both of which I've had great luck with over a lot of years.
While I have tried a lot of FFP scopes for hunting, my favorite all around hunting scopes are the Bushy LRTS's, of which I have multiples in both 3-12 and 4.5-18. I am excited for the increased utility of the THLR on low X for certain aplications, but concerned because I haven't always been the biggest fan of the many center dotted scopes I've tried to like. I figure that the only thing a guy can do is give one a try.
