Who knows Unknown Munitions?

Alright for those who have discovered, I don't reload anymore (had to sacrifice) and have a custom rifle that needs loading for. Shawn Carlock from Defensive Edge recommended Unknown Munitions, does anyone have experience working with them for ammo?

Well, it's more expensive than doing your own reloads, if you already have all the components.

If you're like me and get sucked into shiny objects every now and then, it would have been a lot cheaper for me to stay out of reloading and just use them.

Components are expensive, no way around it. Good brass…$1-2 each; bullets…$0.50+ each; nearly $1 worth of powder per round for magnum cartridges; $0.10+ per primer.

Haha yeah I had all the shiny reloading things.
I'm just trying to buy time till I can sell this or put a 308 barrel on it or get back to reloading.
I need something to put meat in the freezer its really expensive for fixed income from VA disability to feed good quality food to 4 growing kids. Lol and they are good feeders

Wow! Your powder cost you $1/round??? Guess I haven't been keeping up with the price of powder these days. Glad I haven't had a need to buy in a few years.

I've bought a few cartridges from them and all shot well. The 6.5 Creedmoor 140 ELDM ammo from them had at least three groups sub-MOA at 1000yds (6-8" range/5 shots).
Just missed a sale they had - that's when to get it. Probably be another on Black Friday.

I think I'll buy some Lapua 260 rem to fireform to send to them that will hopefully shoot well to get me back to practice since I haven't shot a rifle in ohhhhh 4 years

Wow! Your powder cost you $1/round??? Guess I haven't been keeping up with the price of powder these days. Glad I haven't had a need to buy in a few years.

Actually, I need to do a slight retraction due to public school math.

Too many powders are at or above $70/lb, especially after sales tax or even worse…hazmat. So roughly $0.70/round for the high capacity stuff. Its still not a favorable cost.

I have not dealt with their ammo side of things but have purchased muzzle brakes and DBM's, and scope rings. I have been very impressed so far. Shipping was fast. Their podcast (shoot2hunt) can be entertaining, at times, if you're into that.

Or you were right $1 rd if you are loading something taking 100grs+ and there are many that take that and much more.
