which scope

Hey all. I'm getting ready to purchase a remington 700 sps in 7mm ultra or 300 ultra (any suggestions there, as both are awesome). I was planning on putting a Leupold VXIII 8.5 X 25 on top. What do you guys think? Are there any better ones out there for about the same price? My shooting will be at 750 yds. max. Thanks in advance.

RangerXP, go with the 300 Ultra Mag, and as far as the scope goes, spend the extra $$$ and get yourself a Nightforce 5.5x22x56 NXS. In my opinion, Nightforce scopes are by far the best overall scope money can buy. However, if you decide to stay with the leupold, they are awesome scopes too. Good luck!!!

Sounds like your on the right path.

The 7 RUM shoots flatter than the big 30 but doesen't
have the larger weight hunting bullets.

Pick the largest animal to be hunted an then decide,
either will do the job at 750yds with the right bullet.

I don't think you can go wrong with the leupold.

I agree total except I think that the 3.5X15 is a better all round power range. I have both and I like both but I use the 3.5X15 the most for hunting
