What would you do?

Given that you don't reload, you're spending a lot of money on factory ammo. I'd spend money in a good reloading setup first and learn how to tune your own ammo to your rifles to get the best performance. From there, I'd go get good glass, then once you've shot the barrel out, start playing with the rifle components on a replacement/rebuild.
What kind of money are we talking to get set up with good equipment?

We fish for whats there. Start in May with black drum to 70-80lb then shark fish mako run, then start the tuna marlin trips. My wife fishes inshore for the flounder when I get her to pay for fuel. She won't read this.

WAs looking at the Swarovski Z8i for that kind of money are they really that much better than our Trijicon.Remember 600 yards is a long shot to us.

I winter in Florida but fish in S Jersey in the summer. Here is the boat.View attachment 96913
I'm guessing a late 60s early 70s Hatteras, parked next to about the same vintage 31 Bert.
I roamed around that area for lots of years, and was parked across the bay for a few also.
Next move was to the keys for about 20, ten of which were full time. Came very close to dropping the hammer on an open cabin version 31 Bert needing much help, would have been a perfect keys
boat, at least for me. But common sense prevailed,
and i repowered the Grady. lol
So now i just do freshwater and just target Specks,
(Crappies) which are in the Perch family same as the Walleye, and frankly about as good to eat.
Have you ever tried spider rig trolling from the Hat Trick? lol
