What other calibers can be built on a 270 win action?

Just referencing reloading data. Shows the 300 ss @ 2953 with the 208 ELD-M, 7 grains less weight but much more bearing surface, and the 300 Sherman also has a little more case capacity. Also, your using a 24", I specifically said "peak performance", which alone would would mean 26"-28" barrel. If you had a 28", you would likely be in the neighborhood of 2950 with a 215, and around 3150 with 180's.

Also not throwing shade, just referencing available data.
Thanks. Appreciate the comparison data. Just sharing what I actually get.

Ya, we have two .270 Sherman's. One with a 24.5" and another with a 19" running supressed, both were using Norma brass. The 24.5" sent 170's around 3000 max with H1000, the accuracy load was 2940. The 19" only has ever shot 140 SBDII's, they have a .333 G7 vs .343 G7 for the 170, so give much better trajectory. With Reloder 26, they maxed out around 3150, best accuracy was 3030. Have some Peterson brass to try now, will see how that plays out.
