Hey guys!

I'm building my first ever rifle in the new 7 PRC. Im building it with a LRH Manners stock and a proof research Sendero 24" barrel. I'm know I'm splitting hairs, but I'm very novice when it comes to muzzle breaks.

Im gonna be using this gun on all my big game hunts and to practice long range.

What brand, size, and pros and cons should I consider? I'm considering the ghost break from TS Customs

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Side discharge breaks for laying on the ground, otherwise, the Gentry muzzle break throws a Lot of the concussion forward. If a side discharge brake has the ports slanted to the rear, you will have some absolutely unbelievable concussion thrown at you with hearing damage.

My brothers and I have Gentry Muzzle breaks on every hunting rifle we own, nephews also. I have 7 different brands of muzzle breaks, radial and tactical....still learning.

The side discharge breaks bleed off more gasses(recoil), but the hearing damage is obvious till you lose enough of your hearing that it does not matter anymore.

I will preface this by saying I hate muzzle brakes, but some larger cartridges help to have them for multiple reasons.

That said I reluctantly purchased one of the TiPro brakes at the recommendation of several well known shooters. I was amazed and how much more pleasant it was to shoot my 300 Norma with the brake installed.

Here's a link. Buy the 5 port mode for the most recoil reduction. Pick the material that your budget allows.

Do you plan on using a suppressor? If so then use what matches up to that brand. If not and you want a muzzle brake consider a fat bastard

I bought a Ti-Pro3 for my 7PRC. I didn't feel that the 4-5 port option was needed and decided that the shorter brake was a good balance on a 26" bbl. Several of my rifles have Kirby's 3 port PK brake on them. His brakes work VERY well at reducing recoil and muzzle rise.

Howdy, I probably should know, but who is Kirby's brakes. I need a good one for my 30-378 . Thanks David

Any muzzle brake but radials.

If you want the baffles straight out to the side check out the Meraki Machine brake.

Kirby Allen, he makes the hot rod magnums;
That's who I thought it was. This guy freaks me out every time I go to his website. In a good way. The rifles he post
( Rifle Porn ) make me want to sale something so I can get him to build me something. Thanks. 👍
