What is the deal with NO .410 Shot Shells.

Look at those prices. Maybe GOLD Shot in them.
There are some 3" in stores, but no 2 1/2". This LGS is gouging becase of availibty. All the boxes are OLD and $65.00 for .410 and $29.95 for a box of 17HMR????

Well, it's a pawnshop so that says a lot and yes they had so much ammo of many different varieties but it all looked old,the boxes were a little worn somebody's trying to get Rich.

I get a phone call when a case shows up at the LGS and I always buy whatever they will sell me. We literally see it maybe two to three times a year and its one case!

Before I bought the Mossberg 410 GA turkey guns. A 500 410 GA and a SA 410 ga. I bought a Mec 600 Jr mark 5 in 410 3 inch. I can load 2 1/2 inch too. Before squirrel season. I loaded up 35 boxes of 3 inch in 5 and 6 shot. I squirrel hunt alot. Plus use them crow and quail hunting too.

We don't have a .410 but always wanted to get a Rem 1100 in .410 with Chokes. My neighbor has been shooting Armadillos at night in his yard with a 100+ year old single shot .410. He is running out of .410 Ammo and asked us for some. I looked all over this area (East Ga) and no luck. there is everything from 28, 20, 12, and even some 16, but no .410.
Has the .410 Ammo shortage been going on a long time?

Might be cheaper in to just get a 20ga and easier to find shells

410's were non existent here for awhile. Lately I seen them at Murdoch's and even Walmart.

Was at Cabelas yesterday - still no 410 field loads on the shelf, but they had plenty of 28's for $17 a box. I believe the price for those a month ago was over $20

Ables Ammo has some #8's and 7.5's target loads. Might not be what you are looking for.

40 bucks for a box of 5, 8 dollars a pop to shoot Armadillos is a little steep LOL it hasn't been that long ago I was buying them at Walmart for 11 dollars a box of 25 3"shells now there at least 30 dollars a box if you can find them. I know that demand will make a difference but this is ridiculous, I'll just shoot something else, I can shoot my 10ga cheaper than that

And it doesn't really do you any good to buy a press and load your own, since there are no empty hulls available either.
