I will also say this about this rifle, when a short barrel with a heavy magnum and a significant blast goes off, even the guy with the obnoxiously loud muzzle break on his AR says "oh my God what is that?"

You'll want to double up foamy ear plugs plus muffs. Then just use the electronic plugs or muffs while hunting. A single shot every once in a while on a hunt won't hurt much using either type electronic ear pro hunting, but when you are shooing more volume in training or load development, it will save your hearing. If you don't have tinnitus, it can prevent it, if you already have tinnitus, it can keep it from worsening and prevent hearing damage beyond that condition.

That is definitely solid advice, I do like whatever hearing I have to stay that way!
