What do I have - Stolle Kodiak Action, SG&Y Barrell, 300 Jarrett

OK. New to forum, so I hope this thread is in the correct area. Need some help.

I was given a rifle and trying to figure out what exactly I have.

The cal. is a 300 Jarrett

The Action says Stolle-Kodiak

The barrell says SG&Y, is fluted with a diamond pattern.

Glass is a Swarkoski (sp?) 4-15 x 50.

Any ideas or information ? Best spot/web, etc. to find ballastic information. I was also given 50 rounds of 300 Jarrett ammo, but no specifics on what grain, bullet weight etc.

Any help or thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks

Well what you HAD was a very good day! You have a mix of very high end parts in a very powerful cambering. SG&Y is the builder, I would take the info you have and contact them. If your lucky they have records and can tell you a bit more like what it cost and the reamer used in the build.

did you get enough help? 300 Jarrett is a Proprietary round made by kenny Jarrett. Buy amo from him , Reload , or use 300 Weatherby in a pinch. Heavy round made from 8mm mag necked down to 30 cal. It is a brute of a cartridge. You interested in selling?
