What’s your favorite caliber for deer?

Favorite caliber is probably .257 per the OP. Favorite cartridge is probably the .260Rem or .257Wby. If I could only have one for deer hunting now and forever probably the 6.5PRC.

However, I have killed them just as dead with 30-06s, 7RMs, and 264WMs.

When hunting in south Texas I like to take either 257 roberts, 6.5x55, or 7x57 just because most of the young guys have never heard of them they all think you need the new super cartridges to drop a white tail little do they know besides that the old farts like me think its cool The young ones spend to much time on the crapper reading gun magazines
