Ruger M77 MkII in 270 Win, this last Christmas I passed this rifle down to my daughter so the Ruger M77 7mm Rem Mag or 6.5 CM I just picked up will have to take its place.

When I would go back to PA. to hunt with the family, my brother would always lend me his savage 99 in .308. It was a joy to carry in the woods, and it was my brothers who is now deceased, man I miss that guy

My favorite? Might not be the best, but... I'd have to say my minty WWII 1942 Win 1894 .30 WCF has never failed me in the field on Whitetail hunts.
I have other rifles that are more accurate and shoot much, much farther in the sub-MOA range, but this one is dear to my heart, I've taken some very nice Whitetails with it. Just my 0.2 Cheers

Forced to pick one, it would be my Remington 700 LH 300 RUM. Shoots lights out with Berger 215's and Berger 210's and nearly as good with Hornady 212's.

Currently a Ruger American .243 in a Magpul Hunter stock. It's a little heavy to carry or hike far, but it's an easy shooter!

Favorite is my browning BAR, 7 mm Rem mag That I bought when I was 14. I worked two summers for it and split wood for one winter. I remember telling the gun shop that I wanted one gun that could shoot everything from coyotes to moose. I've yet to shoot a moose.

This past deer season I took out my carbon fiber barrel HNT26 chassis in 7 mm Creedmoor. I really like that gun.

Sako L579 Forrester given to me by my uncle around 2000. He purchased it in early 60's as a .243 and shot the bbl out on woodchucks. Had Flaigs (anyone remember them?) put a new .243 bbl on it and I shot woodchucks for years with it. Once they leagalized rifles for deer here I put a new bbl on it in .338 federal and have been deer hunting ever since with it. Since put a custom stock on it along with Timney trigger. Tiny, light action, great looking with lots of history behind it. 200 gn hornadys work great on deer also!
