VTR accuracy

Ok guys, my first post so be easy on me. The VTR has the 3 slots cit in the top of the barrel, I'm wondering if venting all of the gas off of the top of the bullet would cause any accuracy issues at longer ranges? 500-800 yards? Thanks

Hasn't caused any ill effect on my 22-250 or on a friends 308 both run around 1/2 MOA out to 500 haven't tried them on anything longer.

I have a question, why would you fill in the cuts?

My son-in-law has the VTR in .308. It has shown no ill effects and has remained accurate to 500 yards no problem.
