Rifle triggers, single stage or 2 stage?

I have yet to buy, use or shoot a 2 stage. Most of my singles are non-adjustabe @ 3.5# or less. Just something I'm used to. Pretty much started out on a pre64 mod70 264wm when I was 11 (76').

I own two Bix N Andy TacSport Pro-X 2-Stage Triggers and use them on hunting rifles. I like that you have options of different Sear heights and trigger shoes. Bullet Central has videos on the options. I'm really happy with these triggers!

Combat=2 stage
Non-combat=single stage

For hunting, while I much prefer single stage, it really doesn't matter. What matters is shooting the rifle regularly enough to become familiar with whatever trigger it has

I used to shoot small bore with two stage triggers. But center fire was always single stage.

With how great new triggers are now, I've switched to single stage even for 22.

Either way, it's just a preference of what you like. There is no right or wrong answer

I am a big fan of single stage triggers for all "non-combative" purposes. Partly because that is what I've grown up with (along with the terrible examples of long ago military two stage triggers). I also like lighter trigger pull weights, often below what is safe or possible with two-stage.

I have both; it's personal preference, period.

My "precision" rifles are all 2stg, Diamond, Calvin, 40x, Special. Truck and night time rifles are all single stg at approximately 3#.

Single for precision work, 2-stage for drive gun (keeps you patient)

I've had a few single stages that, with out of the box creep, pretended to be 2 stage.

I have both as mentioned above you have to practice so that you are comfortable with what you use.
Timney Hit has been my favorite, have them on most. Single stage.

Personally, for hunting which is my only use for my rifle…..a single-stage trigger! memtb

All I have ever owned are single-stage triggers. Just wondering if I am missing anything, also, wondering what everyone else is using.

i don't feel like i missed a single thing by having single stage triggers.
