I just ordered a lawton 8000 action last week and I`m looking for a trigger for it i`m thinking of a jewell. What are the pluses and minuses of a top saftey and do I need one with a bolt release?

If the Lawton action has a bolt release on the side of the receiver, order the Jewell without a bolt release.

You simply can't go wrong with a Jewell.

They are one of the best triggers available !!!

+1 go with a Jewell and you won't go back. I think Kirby had a top safety on his prototype Raptor but, I could be wrong. I went with a bottom safety just easier for me to work with.
