screech, evergreens are not real conducive for LRH. If your goal is to just go out and shoot some I think your best shot would be to walk the woods in winter on the warmer days. Do it in areas where you could scout for big game at the same time. Don't look in the trees look at the ground under the trees for bark chips or small pieces of pine broughs. (clumps of discarded needles). If the sign is fresh scour that tree for the porky. Once you find a tree he is in it's much easier to spot them. You can also look for the porkys trail leading from tree to tree or tree to burrow. There trails will have close spaced tracks with a drag or furrow through them. This is from there quils, belly, and tail draging through the snow. There turds look kinda like rabbit pellets, only a little bigger and oval shaped.
