The big .22's

I'm looking experiences, good and bad regarding using big cases (wsm, saum, 284, '06, 350 rem mag, or even shortened .264) to shoot 75, 80, or 90gr .22 cal bullets.
What is to recommend them over say a 6mm shooting 115gr bullets?
