First, I ran a search and read all the replies. Seems most are several years old. Any recent experiences using Berger Target VLD's for hunting? I can get the 130 gr Target to shoot in my 6.5x47 but the Hunting version is being picky and I'm running out of time.

Thanks,

Alan

I have not used that bullet or even a target VLD for hunting, but I have used the 175 grain Target Long Range (30 cal of course) last year. Of 7 whitetails killed, 5 went down and never moved, and 2 I got, for lack of a better term, pass throughs. This is kind of apples and oranges, I know, but I would hunt with them again. I have changed to the hunting VLD as my rifle shoots them very well too.

Just had a Creedmoor built for my son and will try the 130 VLD's. It shoots the 140 Amax very well, so I ain't in no real hurry.
