I recently looked at the Talley light weight base and rings milled as one piece. I think I want this, am I right?
I have them mounted on my two 6.5-284's. I have been using them for a few years and they align precisely and work very well. The Talleys do require lapping for a high surface area fit, and you will need to check to make sure that your scope tube dimensions will accommodate the mounting location, particularly with long action receivers. For my heavier/larger caliber rigs I prefer a Picatinney rail and tactical style mounts for the versatility of scope location and the heavy duty design.
This is a 7rm sendero build, just trying to plan ahead a bit. The scope is a 6x20 50mm or there abouts so it looks like I need to pay a bit more attention here... Thanks.
