Stevens long action

Ok I just bought a Stevens long action and would like to hear some options on chambering it. I was wondering if I could do a 338 rum or 300 rum and still keep it as a repeater if I changed out the stock . I know the box length is 3.5" . Is there a way around this?

Use a 300wm mag box notched out in the front and notch the feed ramp, you can get 3.7-3.8" but it must be a center feed.
