Fortunate to get out to Montana and killed a very nice Merriam. And then at a friend's place in Wisconsin and killed a very nice Eastern. In fact, I've been hunting my friend's place in WI for about 35 years, and this is the biggest tom I've ever killed there. A big, battle scared, tom! Using a Franchi 20ga, Aimpoint red dot on a Scalarworks mount, Rob Roberts .560" choke, and Apex 3" #9's. I have 2 more WI tags for at my place, so looking forward to some more of it...

Didn't turkey hunt this year due to wife's illness. Think I made up for it last year. After 9 days of chasing this turkey I saw groundhog hunting I finally connected. DSC01302.JPG

I've taken 31 turkeys with the Casull & .44 Mags. Found 2 bullets that don't tear them up on double wing butt shots.
The big boy is mounted flying. Very impressive.
