I've been using imr4198. Reloading shop has a couple 5lb jugs of re7. Virtually same burn rate.

How small are the carnals? I now it's a extruded powder but all it says is short cut. Any breach plug issue. With it falling through?

I would venture a guess....that if it's simular to 4831sc....doubtful....kernels would have to line up with the flash hoke almost perfectly to fall thru....

I have used Rel7 many times in the 45 with sabots. 195 to 225 grain bullets in a harvester light blue. Up to 70 grains without blowing a sabot in cool temps. You can get pretty good speed with it. Bullet to bore I just use H4198. No issues with grains falling through. i have read where people thought it was dirty compaired to 4198 but I never noticed much difference.

I've been happy with it - no issues in my sml rifles. N120 is the only powder I use that will readily go through a .035 or .040 bushing.
