sierra 210 versus berger 210

I have been shooting the berger 210 with good results. I use to shoot the sierra matchking 168 with great results for longrange hunting. I then had a 1in9 twist put on my gun and switched to the 240 matchking. pushed it at 3050 but the 240 would not open up on game at over 400 yards, i am wondering with the shape of the 210sierra being more like a vld shape if anyone has had experience with this bullet on game. any info would help.

will be hunting mule deer and elk. i hope the 210 sierra opens up easier than the 240 matchkinggun)
