Something I didn't see mentioned was parallax, reticle and how level the unit is kept.....it all matters

A 1 degree cant for a .308 Win shooting 175 HPMK's at 1000 yards causes about 7.5 inches of horizontal shift in impact. It'll also drop about .065" lower. At 100 yards, horizontal shift's about .047 inch.
