Shilen DGA

I just bought a Shilen DGA action with a 223 bolt face. However, the bolt is not equipped with an ejector, even though there is a hole in the bolt face for one. Will the ejector plunger, ejector spring, and roll pin for the Remington Model 700 work in the DGA bolt?

The Remington parts will most likely fit. If not these parts are simple to make. I use drill stock (old drill bits) or stainless tig rod to make the pins and then cut a spring from a Brownells spring assortment.

If the gun is a varmint or mainly a target use rifle I kind of like them without an ejector. I have a Bat action on my bench right now for a Chey Tac single shot hunting rifle and the bolt face is not even drilled for an ejector.
