So, I happened to be in the right place, at the right time when about a footlocker full of this stuff (in quart cans, of course) fell off of a truck about 30 years ago. I've been happily using it around the garage as a general use oil in about a half a dozen squirt cans. I filled a can this weekend and found an amount, maybe an ounce in the cup remaining in the can looked like maybe something came out of solution,. Maybe a paraffin type of ingredient? Shaking the can didn't seem to dissolve this. Question is, is there a shelf life and will unopened containers suffer the same condition? There still seems to be a useable amount of what looks like oil in the can. What happened?
