I have a desert tech chambered in 260 shooting Berger 140's. I wasn't able to run them closer to the lands and still run a magazine. Closest I could do was 50 thou off. That would be fine but I never could get tight groups. Best I could manage was 3/4 to 1MOA. Ran a seating depth test today with them at .010 and .015" off and here's the results!
I ordered a custom magazine from SAC. So now I'll be able to run them where they want. Amazing what seating depth can do!

Had the same thing happen in a browning abolt 300 wsm. I just marked the too- long- for magazine loads with a marker. They load directly into chamber and the regular length ones go into the mag. Most all of my loads are sub 40 thousandths off.
I like your solution better.

Your results ODOYORULES are why anymore I will not build a rifle the mag. box will not allow me to chase the lands.
You found a solution, good job happy shooting.
