Looking to purchase a new hunting scope. at least 18 power on high side. Dependability is very important!was thinking Steiner predator series . called camera land and they are dropping all Steiners but the very high end models! Started looking around found this posted on europtic! Has lighted dot! Looks like I will have to Dial or get really good at Kentucky elevation!!. My major concern is that it may not be long enough to get mounted on a 85 L action. Let me know if there are other options available. That I may want to consider! I'm familiar with Tract and will need to buy a first focal to get 18 power. Thanks all for your consideration Tribb

The Trijicon Tenmile 3-18x44 is a fairly long yet fairly light weight option. 25oz and would certainly offer the mounting flexibility you are seeking. Might be worth a look?

Yes I remembered some one mentioned that in another scoy post a while back! Thanks

Leica Amplus 6 in 3-18x44 might work for you. I just bought one and haven't even mounted it yet, so I can't give a review. Initial impressions are good though. Glass looks good and the turrets seem nice.

I have a Leupold VX-6 3-18 with Firedot Duplex and CDS Dials for elevation. Plenty long enough to mount on a Long Action, Glass is excellent and the custom dials are accurate and reliable. Don't pass up Leupold!
