Substitute for the re19 and re22 . To be used in 270wby with Hammer 130 & 140 class bullets. I know it's been discussed before probably but I'd really like to have some information for an available substitute thank you.Tribb

H1000 and Retumbo is what I use in my 270Bee.
I also use 2 unobtanium powders, which I have a lifetime supply of, which are RL25 and Win 780Supreme. Both of these are fantastic Magnum powders.

Cheers.

7828 is what I start with often.
Exactly what I came here to say, I'm almost out though now and not sure what to do after that. Maybe 4350 or 4831 to go a bit faster on burn rate, or H1000 to go a bit slower. I also have been liking N565 and N560 but I haven't used them a whole lot yet. N555 is pretty close to RL19

N555 for R19

It's between 19&22 actually. Has to be more stable than n560
Oh yeah you're right, I'll edit

I got 1-2 pounds of all the N500 powders to mess around with and confuse many of them except for N570 which I use a lot

I saw this; it might help. Cheers 🫡

For Reloder 19 (RE19)

  1. IMR 4350: Slightly faster than RE19 but widely used in .270 Wby. It provides good velocity and accuracy for 130-150 grain bullets.
  2. H4831 (or H4831SC): Similar burn rate to RE19, though slightly slower. It's a proven powder for magnum cartridges and works well in .270 Wby.
  3. Norma URP: Close in burn rate to RE19, offering consistent performance in magnum loads.
  4. Vihtavuori N160: A bit slower but suitable for .270 Wby with heavier bullets (140-150 grains).

For Reloder 22 (RE22)

  1. IMR 7828 (or 7828SSC): Very close in burn rate to RE22, excellent for magnum cartridges, and widely used in .270 Wby for high velocities.
  2. H1000: Slightly slower than RE22 but effective for heavier bullets in .270 Wby, especially 140-150 grains.
  3. Vihtavuori N165: Comparable burn rate to RE22, good for magnum loads with consistent performance.
  4. Norma MRP: Matches RE22's burn rate closely and performs well in large magnum cases.

I've had very good luck with Superformance in my .270Win and Bee. It seems to work as well or better than the Pixie Dust that is unobtainable now.
I still have 3lbs of Win780 Supreme left over for a special occasion.
