Scope for sub 500yds

Hi all,
I'm looking for a scope to go on my Howa 1500 300win mag. I will only be looking at shots under the 500yd mark. Budget is app $1000. Main targets would be Sambar Deer and Buffalo. I'm open to sugestions.

The Swarovski Z3 4-12x50 w/ BRX-Heavy was made for just this sort of hunting and should fall in or right about your price range. The biggest downside is the 43moa adjustment range in dialing for longer distances.

The Trijicon Accupoint 2.5-10x56 is another solid option that you might want to consider.

The Vortex PST & HS lines would be possibilities, but the glass is not at the level of the Swaro or the Trijicon. I would think the Steiner GS3 & Ziess Conquest HD5 (both lines available in 2-10 or 3-15) would have glass approaching the Swarovski's, but I haven't been able to find either locally to handle them.
