Looking to get a new lighter piece of glass for a lightweight hunting rifle I'm currently building.
Can't decide between fixed or variable.
The first and lightest possibility is a fixed power Leupold FX3 6x42 with a custom reticle for wind holds and a CDS turret for elevation.
The other option I'm considering, also a Leupold, is their VX5HD 3-15x44.
Any other options in this weight/price/quality range y'all think I should add to the list?
Build details:
Blueprinted Model 7 action
Proof Research Sendero Light finished at 23"
Manners EH4
PTG Bottom Metal
Talley LW Rings
Hoping to be under 7.5lbs loaded with optics.

I think you are in the right place. I think I would do the variable power.

What are you chambering thia build in?
