Mike the full answer to your question is that savage still makes 2 different types of the accustock as mention one uses a wedge to press against the lug, the other is just a strait up aluminum bedding block, both use slightly shorter lugs but either will fit in the aftermarket stocks, just the lug doesn't go down as far in the bedding block but skim bedding around the lug should be done anyway and there will be no issues, but you cannot put actions with the standard lug in an accustock or they sit way to high, you must machine the lug.
Oh, go 260AI you'll love it, runs close to a 6.5x284 with over twice the barrel life and you can neck down military match brass and form the cases for dirt cheap and the lake city cases are tough and consistent in my experience.
