Savage Hog Hunter for LR?

I keep seeing the Savage Hog Hunter and am wondering about using it as a build platform (action, trigger, & barrel for a long range build. I have a McMillan ADJ5 stock with blind magazine that needs a Savage action. Thoughts? And please my want is a savage right hand action for the McMillan stock. Is the barrel and action on the hog hunter any different than the other Savage SA actions, such as the FCP or model 12, etc. or is it just marketing mumbo jumbo? I like the 20" but not opposed to 22" barrel.

I have a hog hunter in 223 that I have used prairie dog shooting for a long time,all I have done is put it in a Boyd's stock and I am very satisfied with it.
