he guys what can you tell me about the Sako L691 action?

i have one chambered in 257 Weatherby and am wondering how i can find out what it was converted from to fit the 257. the rifle has been through a few different owners and tracking down the original that had the rifle built is becoming a pain in the ***!!!

all i know is the thing shoots amazing. shoots clover leafs at 100 yards

i am not real experienced at all with custom rifles so if i am missing something please let me know.

thank you all

Gary

Kid- the L691 is one of the later ones. if you go to sako collectors they can tell you more. the L61 r is the ealier one. sakos are a good action action to build on.

It may have just started life as a action sold seperately. They were one of the few actions you could buy before the mass availability of "custom" actions.
