Ihave shot many Moose over the years with 30-30 win 300WM 30-06 303 British 12 ga and others. I was looking at a Sako Bavarian 85 in 300WSM with a Burris Eliminator scope for hunting moose long range on clear cuts.

Any experienced information would be appreciated.

Never hunted moose before, but I'm thinking a 200grn Accubond would be a good bullet for busting through an animal that large to say... 500yrds or so. Any bonded or partition bullet would work well. For the farther shots, I would use the Berger 210 or 208 A-max. At distances over 500yrds they will start to act like a normal hunting bullet and should offer good penetration and wound cavity.
