I have a sako a2 243 with a fried barrel. I have a broughton 1-8 5c barrel on the way I just can't decide on a caliber bave it down to a 6.5 creedmore or a 260 ai. Rifle will be mostly a long range 600-800 yard rock chuck rifle but could also be a antelope /deer rifle for the wife. Is a short action long enough to run 140s in the 260 AI. What kind of velocity can i expect from a 6.5 creedmore with a 28in pipe? Any other opinions are welcome.
