RL 26 for 338LMAI

I'm sure you will reach a higher velocity than I have with all of my 338's building the Ai .
So here is my testing so far :
Three different 30 " barrels achieved different velocity with H-1000 but Excellent Accuracy witch should be # 1 in think .
338 Edge , 300 gr bergers @ 2884 ft.per.sec proof barrel.

338 Edge. 300 gr bergers @ 2849 ft.per.sec McGowen barrel

338 Edge , 300 gr bergers, 29 " heavy Palma Kreiger barrel @ 2850 ft.per.sec

338 Rum , 300 gr bergers, 30 " Benchmark Carbon @ 2883 ft.per.sec
Did not have , rl -33 or Nv570 at the time for testing .
I'm betting that the 338 Lapua ai and Rl-33 should get you more velocity if that's what your chasing.

I couldnt complain one bit about H-1000 I achieved my personal best accuracy at 100 yards , 3 in the same hole and a 3 shot group at 3027 yards of 26 3/4" .

The only thing that more speed would do for me was save me a few clicks on the dile up for the shot .
Just my personal experience, I'm not trained or certified in anyway to do what I have Accomplished! Just a pure desire to take it Long !!

We are not really looking for high velocity rather accuracy. Since it will be a 338LMAI with a 32" barrel hoping to get close to 3,000fps shooting Berger 300gr OMTs. There is a member here in GA about 60 miles away and I have to make a trip to where he lives to sell a rifle so thought I would get the powder while I was there. He has 8 lbs of RL-26 and 5 Lbs of RL25, Figured I'd get all of it to try the RL-26 in the 338LM. I saw a post in the past where someone had good results with RL26 in a 338. Anyway I will have powder available for friends that may be able to use in the future. You never know which way the powder/primers will go. a few months ago I was very optimistic that powder was coming back, but it dried up again.
I reload .204, 223, 243. 6mmBR, 6.5 X 284, 260, 270WSM, .325WSM, 338LMAI.
My stored powders: H 4895, Varget, 748, 223CFE, H414, H4350, H100V, 6.5 Stabal, H4831-SC, RL-25, RL26, & H1000.
I have a verity of powders to work with what I reload. Still looking for Retumbo and some more Varget.
Only wish there would be a break in Primers and you could buy more than a brick to help with shipping & HazMAt.
I appreciate everyone chiming in with their results and ideas.
Thanks

I have a 338 Allen Xpress (similar to AI) running a 27" barrel. I tested H1000, RL26, Retumbo and RL33. Of these four, I found that 104.0 gr. of RL33 gave me the best combination of velocity and accuracy. Berger 300 gr. OTM at 3,000fps holding about .5 to .75 MOA when I do my part. 104 gr. of RL33 is a stout load in my rifle, so start lower and work up with care.

I use 92gr of Retumbo with both the 300gr Match and the 285 gr Barns TSX. The longest hunting shot I have taken was 500yds using the 300gr on a pronghorn. I have shot steel out to 800yds with good accuracy with both...

I took a fast look at quickload . using a 300 gr berger , RL26 gives about identical velocity as H1000 , but the casefill with RL26 is around 90% , I prefer a higher casefill .
